At Cavu Medical, we are dedicated to providing cutting-edge cardiovascular/neurologic assessment solutions to empower physicians in delivering exceptional patient care. We provide three biomarker tests that fall under the Low Heart Rate Variability umbrella, all of which provide key insights into your patient's well-being.
Low Heart Rate Variability Testing: Low Heart rate variability, abbreviated as LHRV, serves as a biomarker examination that assesses the interplay between the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. It can be administered to diabetic, cardiovascular, and pain patients every 90 days, while it can be employed annually in asymptomatic individuals for establishing baseline data.
Autonomic Reflex Screen: Our non-invasive Autonomic Reflex Screen unveils critical insights which can show signs of neuropathy in patients. Our test gives providers the ability to discover underlying neuropathies in their patients. The autonomic reflex screen also can differentiate between axonal degradation and myelin sheath damage based on strength and impulse time of the patient's neurons. Diabetic and pain patients may greatly benefit from neuropathy testing. This test can be conducted every 90 days.
Toe-Brachial Index: The toe-brachial index is advised in cases where a patient experiences symptoms of peripheral artery disease (PAD), such as discomfort, numbness, or fatigue in their lower extremities. It may also be suggested when the patient exhibits risk factors for PAD, including high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol levels, or diabetes. Furthermore, this test can be conducted periodically every 90 days for diagnostic purposes and annually to establish a baseline, if needed.
How the Test is Implemented Into Your Practice: The tests encompass an infrared finger clip, akin to pulse oximetry, a toe-brachial index evaluation, and a non-invasive neuropathy test (Not an EMG), only requiring about 7-10 minutes for completion of all three. These assessments gauge heart rate variability (HRV), arteriosclerosis, and neuropathy, and are eligible for reimbursement through Medicare/Medicaid and the majority of insurance providers when administered correctly.
Consider the advantages of early detection of neuropathy or atherosclerosis, and the precise assessment of a patient's pain. Our team will provide comprehensive training for the professionals responsible for administering this biomarker program.
We provide all the essential equipment and manage the billing process for the biomarker testing. There are no contractual obligations, and you won't need to make any equipment or supply purchases or rentals. You have the flexibility to discontinue the program at any time, for any reason. Reimbursements are channeled directly to your practice, and at the close of each month, you will only be billed for tests that were reimbursed, not those performed. In instanced where reimbursement is below the standard rate we will adjudicate your cost, guaranteeing that your practice faces no financial burden. Test results are transmitted to a laptop provided by our organization.
To obtain a comprehensive understanding of the testing procedures and the program, we recommend scheduling a 30-minute Zoom meeting, which can conveniently take place during a lunch hour if it suits your schedule. This meeting will be conducted with the program's director/founder, with a designated moderator present. The webinar is designed to address any additional inquiries or concerns you may have regarding the testing regimen.
